1. The examination of water for impurities as germs producing disease...
2. Tests for the presence of germs causing Consumption in cases where the disease is suspected, also in the milk supply which often contains these bacteria.
3. The chemical examination of the water of the body (urinalysis).
4. An examination of the blood by means of special instruments for that purpose to ascertain indications of disease.

The year prior to September 1994, students had organized a volunteer pep Band that played at football and basketball games. The Pep Band was continued in 1994. Butterbaugh agreed to raise money to furnish the Band with sport shirts and jackets. This letter requests that recipients contribute $100 each to defray the cost of shirts and jackets.

He was a professor at Manchester College, husband, father and farmer, public speaker, pastor and minister of the First Brethren Church in North Manchester, Indiana, candidate for Congress in 1932 (Indiana) and a contendor in the 1936 race for Governor. The researcher can get a feel for Pre WWII Indiana and Indiana during war. Letters to soldiers are included as well as the names of men from North Manchester who were killed in the war. Topics include: Prohibition, economic recovery from the Great Depression, and the impact of Hitler 's Germany on Europe.
