A vast assortment of correspondence and materials from a variety of sources concerning personal and professionally related topics. Some are related to the Church of the Brethren One letter of interest regards Mr. Max Pinney, Huntington, Indiana, who donated a charcoal drawing of Roanoke Classical Seminary (by the artist, Hansacre, of Chicago) to Manchester College.

L. W. Shultz: Piney Woods School.

As Director of Camp Alexander Mack in Milford, Indiana, L.W. Shultz sponsored the tours of the Cotton Blossom Singers of The Piney Woods Country Life School, located in Piney Woods, Mississippi.  He also spoke at Piney Woods on several occasions. 

These images appear to be from the 1960's and record a trip taken by  L. W. and Cora Shultz.  Stops include: Jackson Hole, Wyoming. a geyser at a national park, a church, the western mountains, and a decorative building with signage, "1966 Mitchell Corn Palace."

Jackson, Blyden:

African American author professor, dean and pioneer in the study of African American literature. Blyden Jackson visited Manchester College in the fall of 1966.  Two photographs of Manchester College faculty at a luncheon with Mr. Jackson. Faculty included are :  Herbert Ingraham, Charles Klingler, Margaret Brown, Doris Garey, and Orrel Little.
