Scope and Content

One program from the Peace Oratorical Contest, 14 June 1930.  The program includes speakers and the the titles of their presentations.

Bio History Note

The contest took place at Hershey Pennsylvania and was sponsored by the Board of Religious Education of the Church of the Brethren.

 

The speakers were John Wenger (Elizabethtown College), Lucille Crabb (McPherson College), Joseph MacCarroll (Juniata College), Esther Long (Bridgewater College), John Masterson (Mount Morris College), Guy West (Bethany Bible School) and Joseph Stoner (Manchester College).  It appears as if all of the Church of the Brethren institutions had representatives at the contest, except for LaVerne College.
