Bio History Note

Excerpts from foreword by President V. F. Schwalm:

In the spring of 1944 the faculty of Manchester College presented two series of Chapel addresses.  One series had to do with student problems and the aims of the college; the other series had to do with world problems. Nor all of these addresses were written and presented in manuscript form, however, a number of them were.  These have been typed and are being bound in this volume.  They contain a great deal of useful information ......   We are hoping that they may be of value to future generations of college students and also to the historian of the future who will be interested in knowing what faculty members and others had to say to their students in the year of our Lord, 1944.
