BOB MAINTAINS 7 CARS, 6 VANS, 4 TRACTORS, 3 MOWERS, 1 DUMP TRUCK, AND 4 WELL WORN MAINTENANCE TRUCKS. CONCRETE FLOORS REMOVED TO MAKE SPACE FOR ELEVATOR SHAFT. TOP OF SHAFT. CALVIN ULREY –1993 RENOVATION AN IN-HOUSE PROJECT COMPLETED AT WELL UNDER CONTRACTED COSTS. THE ELEVATOR INSTALLATION AT $80,000.00 COMPARES FAVORABLY WHEN SIMILAR FOUR STORY ELEVATORS HAVE A $250,000.00 INSTALLED COST. LOOKING DOWN ON ELEVATOR CAR SHAFT AND PLASTERING – ELBERT SAMMONS AND DALE KELSEY. TUNNEL TO LIBRARY – TYPICAL OF THE 1800’ OF TUNNEL UNDER CAMPUS. TUNNEL MARKED IN GREEN. NEW TUNNEL TO NEW OAKWOOD – IN-HOUSE SAVED $60,000.00 OVER CONTRACTING. NEW ELECTRICAL VAULT PROVIDED BADLY NEEDED SPACE FOR CONNECTIONS. A WINTER OF 1994 PROJECT HAS BEEN TO MODIFY THE LOOP FLOW AND CONTROL. PROJECTED SAVINGS BY DOING IT IN-HOUSE ARE $100,000.00. AS MORE BUILDINGS ARE AIR CONDITIONED, THE 120 TON ABSORPOR MAY COME OUT OF MOTHBALLS IF A PONY BOILER IS ADDED TO SUPPLY IT WITH STEAM. GARBER HALL - SUMMER WATER HEATER (TYPICAL OF 9) THIS 1986 IN-HOUSE PROJECT PROVIDES DOMESTIC HOT WATER WITH THE CENTRAL BOILER PLANT SHUT DOWN. THE SAVINGS OF $250.00 A DAY PAID BACK IN LESS THAN TWO SUMMERS. HALF OF THE INITIAL COST WAS COVERED BY AN INDIANA ENERGY GRANT. GRANT WRITER - DOUG CAMPBELL. BALL FIELD IRRIGATION SYSTEM: A JOINT GROUNDS AND PLUMBING DEPARTMENTS EFFORT INVOLVING A 6" NON-PORTABLE WELL AND TWO MILES OF PIPE. (NO CAPTION FOR THIS PHOTO).
