Bio History Note | John Strohm will show color film taken during travels in Russia. The promotional tells colorful events from his past: "Starting out in 1936 with one suitcase and a portable typewriter, Mr. Strohm spent a year free-lancing around the world. He lived with a Chinese family, was detained by Japanese police, sat in a sun baked mud hut and talked with Mahatma Ghandi, acquired a distaste for donkey meat in the Spanish Civil War, learned about Hitler Youth first hand, and developed a deep interest in the common peoples of the countries he visited." |
