Bio History NoteFrom Brethren Action Movement brochure:

The Brethren Action Movement has developed out of an informal group of Brethren who became convinced that our Church must witness more boldly on the appalling critical social issues of our day.  We believe that many Brethren are ready to proceed more boldly than before. ....

....The Brethren Action Movement is not a membership organization and has no official status within the Church of the Brethren.  It is made up of members and friends of the Church, working together to carry out the concerns that grow from the teachings of the Church and our fellowship within it.

Additional information:  In 1968 Dale Aukerman became corresponding secretary and peace education worker for the Indiana Brethren Action movement.  He lived at Koinonia Farm, Route 2, Pierceton, IN and served the Eel River Church of the Brethren.
