From v. 1 no.4 of Gadfly: "We the editors and writers of this paper are active student leaders...therefore we take it upon ourselves to open a new channel of communication on the Manchester Campus. Other channels are open...but these channels are restricted by procedure and burdened by triviality. We propose as a newspaper to fight the following: 1. The continuation of student apathy...2. The continuation of student ignorance...3. The continuation of hypocrisy between policy and reality within our community. 4. The continuation of undemocratic authority within our community." |
