The location is the Chapel of Resurrection at Valparaiso University at Valparaiso, Indiana. Included in this batch of images is Chris Hoffman and Chris Garber. They are from Steve Bowers to Ferne Baldwin and have to do with Steve's progress as he works on the book. Folder #10 - History of the Church of the Brethren as taken from the 2007website of the Church of the Brethren of West Alexandria, Ohio. This history is unusual because it begins in 1415 with John Hus questioning Papal authority. Hus refused to recant and he is burned at the stake on 6 July 1415. The account continues through the 1500's, 1600's and forward. Folder #11 - Notes and materials leading up to the writing of "History of the Church of the Brethren in Indiana." This was a project sponsored by the two Church of the Brethren districts in Indiana. [eg. German Baptists migrated to Indiana after War of 1812, settling mostly in Orange County...."] Timeline beginning with 9 June 1908 when Annual Meeting at Des Moines German Baptist becomes Church of the Brethren....forward.
