Scope and Content | Reel-to-reel audio tape transferred to CD by Instructional Technologies Department in December 2010 or January 2011. Reel-to-reel tape discarded by Jeanine Wine in October 2016 because best digital copy had been made and uploaded to Archives' Network and the tape was only in a state of deterioration. Bio History Note | A very short background: Dr. Anna Mow graduated from Manchester Collage in 1918. Her felt called to be a missionary. This led her to Bethany Seminary where she received a Bachelor of Divinity Degree. She and her husband, Baxter, served two terms on the Indian mission field. Upon returning to the States, Anna became Associate Professor of Christian Education at Bethany Seminary. Here, she also continued her education and obtained the degrees; Master of Religious Education and Master of Theology. When she retired (1959) Anna was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree by the Seminary. At this convocation, at the age of 80, Anna is a vibrant speaker. Anna's 8th book was about to be published at the time of this convocation. Dr. Mow was also one of A. Blair Helman's professors and A. Blair Helman introduces Anna at the convocation. He states that she is... "Now retired from seminary teaching for about 15 years." This would make the year of this convocation at about 1974. |
