ProvenanceUnknown. In Archives since 2006. This issue of the military Law Reporter was found by the Archivist, Jeanine Wine, in a sealed envelope from the Public Law Education Institute, Sixth Floor, Dupont Circle Building, 1346 Connecticut Avenue, N. W., Washington, D.C. 20036. It was sent to the Indiana Council of Churches, Attn: James Leachman. Apparently, Jim had moved and the packet was forwarded to Jim Leachman 716 E. 53rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220.
Scope and Content

Student Christian Union Records 1944 - 1949:

  • 1.  Record Book Number One:  1943 - 1947.
  • 2.  Record Book Number Two:  1947 - 1949.
  • 3.  One booklet: "Ed and Co-ed Manchester College, Living Creatively (in Record Book #2).  This book includes the "aims of the organization" as listed above.

Bio History NoteThe "U" (or Student Christian Union) is affiliated with the Student YMCAs, WYCAs and SCAs on American college campuses.

The Aims of this organization are:

To provide regular religious meetings for the student body;

To provide opportunity and inspiration for Christian service to fellow students, the community, and the world;

To provide opportunity for students to develop effective Christian leadership;

To promote interest in and provide information upon vital issues and to make organized Christian action possible;

To promote dynamic personal Christian living among the students.
