Material related to the Mount Morris Memorial Endowment Fund - held by General Education Board - Church of the Brethren - L. D. Ikenberry, Treasurer, 1933 - 1945:

Materials: correspondence (1939-1947) and yearly reports (1937 - 1946).

Why did McPherson have these materials?  More research is needed,  but at first glance:

Manchester's, President Schwalm, was McPherson's President prior to 1942.

Schwalm was probably a member of the Church of the Brethren General Education Board. 

L. D. Ikenberry of Manchester was the Agent for the Fund.  It appears as if J. H. Fries, of McPherson College, also might have held some responsibility for the account?  Again - more research is needed in this area.

Question:   Did McPherson College and Manchester College share the income from this Memorial Fund?

MC2007/137 was accessioned in July 2007. In June of 2015, the McPherson College, Miller Library, found additional materials within their collection that pertained to this Mt. Morris Memorial Fund, sending them to the MU Archives. These materials were merged in 2015 and a new accession number was given to the original ledger that was part of MC2007/137  (formerly MC 2007/137: Mount Morris Memorial Endowment Fund).
