Bio History Note

The Department of Higher Education at Indiana University was considering a study of the impact of increased African American student enrollments in private liberal arts colleges.  Manchester College was identified as one of the eighteen colleges in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio that increased its African American enrollment by as much as fifty percent between the years 1967-68 and 1968-69.  The questionnaire was designed to reflect significant changes in operation on the Manchester campus due to this increase.
