Scope and ContentMildred Grimley's book, "Folk Tales," illustrated by husband, John Grimley.  The Grimleys lived among the Margi people in northeastern Nigeria and collected a treasury of indigenous stories.

Bio History Note

Mildred and John Grimley were Church of the Brethren missionaries to Nigeria.  The following is copied from the book's preface:

"Mr. and Mrs. Grimley lived among the Margi people in northeastern Nigeria for twenty-one years.  Mr. Gimley has, for many years, especially enjoyed sketching the people, as well as the animals of the bush."
