Bio History Note | The Timberlin House housed early students. The location was at 718 Wayne Street (later became the Hoff residence). Bumgerdner, a United Brethren minister, promised to donate money to Howe's North Manchester College and included this gift in his will. However, by the time Bumgerdner died, insufficient funds remained in his estate and no money was donated. One important early program was the Commercial Department. A business college from Warsaw merged with Manchester's business college and the students from Warsaw came here.
