Prior to 1895, and acquisition by members of the Church of the Brethren, Manchester College was known as North Manchester College. The small cup and saucer were obtained for MU by Jeanine Wine. They were spotted on eBay by North Manchester historian, Allan White. Wheelock Company made souvenirs for countries around the world - but primarily for the U.S. market. They are were from a collection in Minnesota that numbered into the thousands of souvenir dishes. (Paul Ostlie, antique dealer, 11 August 2016) The two small dishes came to the archives by mail ( December 2019). They were donated by alumna, Jamie Sue Van Buskirk (MC 1975). She had found them at a flea market in Reamstown, Pennsylvania.
