| Bio History Note | Jeanine, the tape was incorrectly labeled. The trip was to Hiroshima, with Dr. William Puffenberger, Elizabethtown College, PA. The two of us represented the Church of the Brethren to particpate in a Peace Walk sponsored by a Buddhist Sanga from Tokyo to Hiroshima, and attendance at the annual A-Bomb Conferences held Aug 6 1977. We were able to arrive in time for the final week of the walk and conferences in Hiroshima. We backpacked and slept on the floors of their temples or outside for the three week visit. Sleeping on a hillside overlooking Hiroshima lights for six nights and visiting the memorial museum to the bombing was one of the most moving experiences of my life.
