Bio History Note

President Parker Marden welcomes guests.

Jo Young Switzer presents honorary degree to Heifer Project International. Heifer Project is represented by Jo Luck, Executive Director of HPI.

Janet West Schrock (MC alumna and daughter Dan West, founder of Heifer Project International) follows Ms. Luck.

The heifer, Faith, is the gift of the student body of MC.  150 students fasted for either one or two meals to raise the purchase price for the heifer.


Archivist Note

The Department of Information Technology Services had possession of these files and added them to the Archives' network in January of 2014.

VHS tapes of this event were discarded 14 October 2016 by Jeanine Wine.  The best digital copies had been made and the videos were in a state of deterioration.
