From Dr.Rodrick R. Rolston - Sent with old basketballuniform, pennant, etc. from Mount Morris. I’m an MC grad and taught at MC 1961-63; now am 82 years old. I headed the MC Alumni Association for a year during President William Robinson’s era - before the arrival of Steve Alford. Both Paul Rolston’s sons, Keith and Doyle, attended McPherson; both are veterinarians. Donna Ralston Brinkmeier is Paul’s daughter and lives in Sheldon, IA.
Grandpa Jesse was a Brethren minister and a Bridgewater grad in the late 1800s. My father played football for a year or two at Bridgewater College. Paul was an all conference great in football and basketball-played against Ronald Reagan (Eureka College) in 1930. My father played with Paul. His name was W. Wendell Rolston, not a Manchester grad. Paul and Wendell graduated from Mount Morris College. The letter “M” was on my sweater I had from my father’s rewards. Paul was really a stalwart lineman (had pro football offers but turned them down at Rev. Jesse Rolston’s father’s advice).
