| Lassa Fever: President Jo Young Switzer, Parkview North, Honorees | MC2011/191 | President Jo describes a mural at Parkview North emergency room in which she was a participating artist. Her work honored the lives of MC alumni, John Hamer and Esther Hamer, who served as medical missionaries in Nigeria. Dr. Hamer helped discover one of the world's deadliest viruses -- Lassa Fever. Two other Manchester College alumni were also honored; Dr. Jane Weaver and Daryl Yost. |
