H. Stinebaugh, Do Not Erase!, String Symph. Concert 1964, Also Janice singing The False Prophet 4/10/66. The tape opens with a passionate piano solo. Following the solo is another clip of an orchestra playing music from the "Nutcracker." The remainder of the recording has not yet been described. 1. One reel-to-reel audio tape (discarded 2016, see archivist's note) after CD and Wave Sound file created. 2. Corresponding CD. Wave Sound file created and placed on Archives' Network [W] in folder titled [Performances_Music_Theater and Musicals]. | Date of Accession | 03 February 2011 | Bio History Note | Vernon Stinebaugh, himself a Manchester alumnus (Class of 1941), taught music and strings at Manchester College from 1946 - 1977. It is thought that the, Janice, referred to in the tape description is Professor Stinebaugh's daughter, Manchester alumna, Janice Stinebaugh Booz, who attended College circa 1969 - 1973. | Archivist Note | Reel-to-reel audio tape transferred to CD by Instructional Technologies Department in December 2010 or January 2011. Reel-to-reel tape discarded by Jeanine Wine October 2016 because the best possible copy had been made and the tape was only in a state of deterioration.
