I think that it might illustrate the progression of Brethren settlement from Virginia to Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky following the Ohio River system. Bill Eberly donated a group of Brethren church letters that traces individual Brethren in Indiana back to Virginia (see Archives flat file). It would be interesting to do research and see if the map corresponds with Brethren history.
