Cards read, "Make the education of your children a special object. Parents are responsible not only for what they themselves teach their children, but for what they allow others to teach them," "Attendance shows the number of recitations per month. The Bible Reading is made up from reading the Bible every school-day in Chapel, and attending Sunday-school and church once every Sunday. Counting Chapel exercises, every student is expected to have at least five recitations per day, or one hundred per month," and "Please examine, and if not understood, address: J.G. Royer, Principal Mt. Morris College, Mt. Morris, Ill." This collection includes the cards of Mary Emmert and Adam Eby. | | Date of Accession | Unknown | | Bio History Note | Mary Emmert, student at Mount Morris College, would marry Wilbur Stover (also at Mount Morris College) and they would become missionaries to India (Mary Stover). Adam Ebey would also attend Manchester College and would marry Alice King Ebey, who was serving as an instructor there. This couple would also become missionaries to India.
