| Date of Accession | 11 February 2009 | Bio History Note | This notebook contains the minutes of the Student Council of Manchester College for the 1948 - 1949 school year. The membership of the council is written on page 2 of the book:
Gilbert Weldy, Ed Butterbaugh, Don Durnbaugh, Marvin Snell, Bill Clarke, Ruth Mary Halladay, Warren Garner, Denver Ulery, Anna Mae Ehrmin, Ernie Barr, Bob McFadden, Ruth Graham, Lynn Bollinger, Wesley Simmons, Bernie Blough, Harriet Beahm, Myrtle Jones, Dennis Rupel, Prof. Paul Keller, Dr. R. V. Bollinger. It might be noted that Don Durnbaugh went on to become a most honored historian, Bethany Seminay professor and the editor of the Brethren Encyclopedia.
On page 3 are the minutes for Wednesday, September 8, 1948. An Excerpt follows:
The first session fo the 1948 - 49 Student Council was called to order by Pres. Weldy at 9:00 P.M.
The first item of business concerned fees to be paid by Council members for tardiness and absence from meetings. The motion, made by Denver Ulery and supported by Bob McFadden, stated that five cents per tardiness and ten cents per absence should be paid to the Council Treasurer.
