Morris, Illinois." The picture is not dated but one individual is identified as being Mose Diehl. 1. One photograph of the Mount Morris Academy circa 1925. | Date of Accession | 03 August 2011 | Bio History Note | Moses Diehl graduated from Mount Morris College in 1930.
Mose Diehl is the 8th man from the right, seated on the ground in the front row. He is in glasses and tie and sweater.
Mose was also identified in another Mt. Morris College picture dated 1929 (see MC2011/184). If Mose graduated from the Academy and then went on to College, this might place this Academy picture as being taken around 1925. More research is needed to determined the dates of Mose Diehl's educational ventures at Mt. Morris. | Archivist Note | Many panoramic and oversized photographs were rolled up and stacked on a metal shelf in the photograph section of the Archives. These pictures had become dry and were impossible to unroll. The Archivist took the photographs outside on an extremely humid and hot summer day. In about 30 minutes the photographs had relaxed enough to unroll and were brought back into the Library and pressed under books, using archival photo file folders as blotters between pictures. Description prepared 3 August 2011 by Jeanine M. Wine. |
