Bio History Note | Working with the statement, "My own brother, a year ago, tried to kill me." The pain became the pain of hunger, and the pain of malnutrition, and the pain of poverty. He speaks of loneliness. As an impoverished, Native American child with emotional, speech and physical disabilities, he had never even learned to chew food. A long-term childhood friendship was eventually established with a woman who had faith, trust and love in him. He speaks of the label of "Mental Retardation." He is the author of "Macaroni at Midnight." |
