Excerpts from articles in the newsletter:

"The 1944 Conference at Juniata College saw the initiation of a Conference Daily.  Rebirth of the dailiy has occurred in other years, Orlando, Florida, being the most recent edition.

"1948 marks the twelfth time since 1900 that Annual Conference has been in the Western Region, that is, the area between the Mississippi River and the Rocky Mountains.  In this wide geographical area are 175 congregations with a membership of 17,500.  A previous conference was held at Colorado Springs in 1931."

"This 162nd recorded Annual Conference is presided over by Moderator Calvert N. Ellis with William M. Beahm as secretary.  The messengers for Standing Committee are Kurtis F. Naylor and Vernon Miller."

"Youth Interest At Peak This Year" - "Don Snider, National Youth Secretary, reports that 191 youth have registered in the Youth Room thus far. " ...... "At 11:00 this morning I.Q., in the person of Clyde Weaver of Pennsylvania, put the Brethren Youth on the spot by quizzing them on Brethrenism ---history of the church, its organization, its Biblical background.  Good work, Youth!"
