Bio History NoteThe letter from Philip Vernier occurred when Wilbur was returning to Manchester College to complete a degree in Peace Studies (graduating in 1952).  Dr. Muir allowed him to do a separate project for independent study -- plan and lead a tour of students to Europe during the summer so that students would get a three week tour of BSC projects in Europe, and would then participate for six weeks in one of the many Brethren Service International Work Camps or Peace Seminars.
