Manchester Eel River project on national 'Waters to Watch' list

Jerry Sweeten, professor of biology and director of the Environmental Studies Program, shared some great news for Manchester University.

The National Fish Habitat Partnership has unveiled its list of 10 “Waters to Watch” for 2016, recognizing a collection of rivers, streams, estuaries, lakes and watershed systems that will benefit from strategic conservation efforts to protect, restore or enhance their current condition. The Eel River Initiative, a collaboration led by Manchester University, is among the 10 recognized for voluntary, locally driven projects that represent some of the top conservation activities throughout the nation.
