Haylee Parrish wins Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
Haylee Parrish, a Manchester University junior from Andrews, has received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad this spring.
Parrish, who majors in English and teaching English as a second language (TESOL), will study Japanese language and culture at MU’s partner institution, Hokusei Gakuen University in Sapporo, Japan, from April to mid-July.
The highly competitive Gilman scholarship is awarded on the basis of a strong academic record, financial need and a proposed service project. It is designed to help prepare students for success in the global economy.
