Manchester University 2019 Giving Day is April 17
Manchester University Giving Day is Wednesday, April 17.
The theme is “Spartans for Life,” and Elena Bohlander, assistant director of The Manchester Fund, is recruiting alumni, friends of the University, students, staff and faculty to be social media ambassadors.
The Giving Day is a one-day fundraising campaign:
- Encourages individuals to become donors, regardless of the size of the gift
- Generates awareness among students about the generosity of alumni and friends of the University
- Highlights current needs
- Raises money to support the school’s mission of graduating individuals with ability and conviction who draw upon their education and faith to lead principled, productive, and compassionate lives that improve the human condition
Each donor’s name will be written on a flag for a display that will line East Street on the North Manchester campus. Events include a dunk tank, mystery box “reveals” in front of the Jo Young Switzer Center and carnival games.
To become an ambassador, contact Bohlander at embohlander@manchester.edu or 260-982-5968.
Those who wish to give may visit Manchester.edu/giving on Giving Day for a link to donate and to check the progress.
Last year’s Giving Day raised more than $50,000 from 285 individuals.
