A Family Portrait
The debut of "A Family Portrait" launches the 79th season of the Manchester Symphony Orchestra. The oratorio composed by Dr. Debra Lynn, director of choral organizations and vocal studies at Manchester University, is inspired by Civil War letters. Scott Humphries, director of MU instrumental studies and music education, conducts the MSO. Grammy-winning baritone Daniel Belcher will perform.

Pre-concert Civil War events begin at 6 p.m.
