Camp Mack, Milford, Ind.
Camp Mack Day is one of Manchester University’s oldest fall traditions. Started in 1939, it became an annual event for students, faculty and staff from both campuses to have fun and get to know each other better. Camp Mack is on the shores of Lake Waubee in Milford, Ind., and activities include boating, hiking, yard games, kickball and making s’mores at a campfire.
Transportation from both campuses will be available for those who want it, as well as a light supper. Those who want to attend are required to RSVP by Sunday, Sept. 6.
Everyone attending Camp Mack Day will follow CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Sanitary wipes and hand sanitizer will be available onsite. Buses and fleet vehicles will be filled at half capacity, and masks will be required while you are on the bus. Supper and activities will be staggered to allow for social distancing. State mandate requires that we limit this event to 250, so sign up ASAP if you are interested in attending.
VIA: Join us at 3 p.m. in Quinter-Miller Auditorium to learn the story behind the on-site murals, created by artist Medford Neher, depicting the history of the Church of the Brethren from 1708 to 2008. Manchester is one of six colleges across the nation grounded in the values and traditions of the Church of the Brethren. The presentation will last 45 minutes to an hour.
