The finance program has achieved this ranking two years in a row.
It is also ranked No. 23 out of 378 programs at colleges and universities in the United States. This places Manchester University’s finance program in the top 10 percent of all such programs in the nation reviewed by College Factual.
“The College of Business has been extremely fortunate to be able to find faculty with diverse educational and experiential backgrounds, allowing them to teach multiple disciplines. As a result, the finance major has benefitted tremendously,” said Tim Ogden, dean of the Arthur L. Gilbert College of Business. “In the last decade, Manchester has hired two accounting faculty and one marketing/professional sales faculty member who are also qualified to teach finance, and each is an excellent teacher. Their commitment has really strengthened the finance program.”
Based upon PayScale survey data, students graduating from Manchester with an accredited degree in finance realize early-career earnings of $46,401 and mid-career earnings of $92,309. This is above the national average of $44,880 for early-career earnings and above the national average of $81,308 for mid-career earnings of all college and university finance graduates reviewed by College Factual.
“As far as I am concerned, we have the best faculty and staff imaginable in the Gilbert College of Business,” Ogden said. “They have a single-minded focus: doing whatever is in the best interest of the students. Added to that is the great support the business college receives from other areas on campus such as the Registrar, Student Financial Services, the Business Office, and all of the folks in Student Affairs. It is a real team effort.
“Finally, and most importantly, Manchester has incredible students. They are smart, they work hard, they accept responsibility, and they do not cut corners. Together, this is a potent combination, and it produces results.”
Manchester finance students learn about topics such as corporate finance and investment management, and they graduate well prepared to become financial analysts and financial advisors.
College Factual’s Best Finance Schools for the Money ranking takes into account the average yearly cost of the school, the average time students take to graduate, and the quality the school provides to students.
