Alumni invited to join MU ensembles at Homecoming

As part of 2016 Homecoming festivities, a variety of Manchester University ensembles will perform a concert on Friday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m.

The groups scheduled to perform are the Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, A Capella Choir and Chamber Singers. As an added bonus, alumni are invited to join student musicians on stage.

Alumni who wish to play or sing are asked to register beforehand with their instrument or vocal part preferences and take part in rehearsals prior to the concert.

The performance will be in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester campus and is open to the general public. Admittance is free for MU students, faculty and staff. Others will be charged $5.

This concert is among dozens of events planned for Homecoming weekend, Oct. 7 and 8, link.manchester.edu/homecoming.

The traditional bonfire is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. Oct. 7 near the softball field.
