Manchester Opening Convocation: This Is Who We Are
NORTH MANCHESTER – Opening Convocation at Manchester University was 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, in Cordier Auditorium.
President Dave McFadden spoke about “This Is Who We Are.”
This address is the first of many events throughout the academic year that will celebrate MU's connection to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Manchester was the final campus to host King as a speaker before he was slain in 1968.
He spoke in North Manchester on Feb. 1, 1968.
The convocation is free and open to the public. Because most members of the MU community attend, seating is limited to the space available.
