Event Details:Dr. Kierstan Hanson is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Manchester University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY-1 residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend, IN. She teaches primary in the pharmacy skills course sequence and is passionate about issues surrounding wellness, inclusion, and belonging. She has participated in over 8 medical service trips to Mexico, Nicaragua, East Timor, and Guatemala with University of Iowa, Ferris State University, Manchester University, Rotary International, and Global Frontier Missions. You can find her on campus telling dad jokes, overthinking, and offering overly enthusiastic greetings to the classroom.
Samantha Alspaugh is a P4 student currently completing her APPE rotations. She completed her Pre-Pharmacy Coursework at Manchester University. She participated in the Manchester University Medical Practicum in January 2020 and January 2024. She is interested in doing hospital or long-term care pharmacy after graduation. She would also like to go on more medical service trips in the future.
