Adelia Yenser Sorge ’63 was honored by Lafayette Urban Ministries as a Volunteer Superstar. Adelia has been volunteering with Lafayette Urban Ministries since 2015.
1990s
Ronald “Steve” Strayer ’90 was inducted into the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Steve is the head coach at Crown Point High School. His teams have won 641 games, 15 conference titles, 14 sectional championships and nine regional crowns.
Randall Hooley Jr. ’92c was inducted into the Triton Hall of Fame at Triton High School in Indiana.
Jason House ’95 retired from the Indiana State Police after 26 years of service.
Rex Pomranka ’95 won his 400-career win on Jan. 19, 2022. This is his 18th year as the head wrestling coach at Brandywine High School in Michigan.
2000s
Nick Chaney ’03 was promoted to executive vice president at U.S. Granules Corp. He has been with them since 2007 and has held several roles within the company.
Melissa Nifong ’04 Branam was inducted into the Triton Hall of Fame. She played basketball and volleyball during her time at Triton High School.
Zach Scott ’06 was promoted to vice president of operations at U.S. Granules Corp. He began there as an intern in 2002 while still pursuing his degree at Manchester. In 2011 he began his full-time career with the company.
Joel Richard ’07 was named chief experience officer at Interra Credit Union. Joel has been with Interra for more than 14 years and has held a variety of roles.

Charlie Jo Kolter turns 1 in May |
Cambria Teter ’11 Kolter welcomed a daughter, Charlie Jo Kolter, on May 30, 2021.
Holly Beer ’17 Herndon married Beau Herndon in August of 2020. In September of 2021 she began working as an admissions counselor for Trine University.
Lauren Hughes ’17 Mills has written a children’s book, “Twas the Night Before Christmas at the Zoo.” A portion of the proceeds goes to the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, where she now works. After graduation, she was social media coordinator at Manchester for several years.
Cody Schell ’14 and wife Erynn Schell welcomed a new addition to their family on Jan. 26, 2022.
Kolton Hawkins ’18 opened his own chiropractic firm, Hawkins Family Chiropractic, in Peru, Ind. During his time at Manchester he studied sports and athletic training.
