  • Chambers walks at ND, where he earned Ph.D.

    Posted May 19 - Joe Chambers, associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences, walked at commencement ceremonies May 22 at the University of Notre Dame. Chambers earned his Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology last summer.

  • Ades has proposal accepted, is slated for four presentations

    Posted May 19 - Ryan Ades, assistant professor of pharmacy practice and director of experiential education, has had a proposal accepted for the 2021 American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Annual Meeting. The proposal is titled, “Bridging the Gap: Two Strategies to Synergize Community Pharmacy IPPE/APPEs and Self-Care Therapeutics.”

    Ades has been invited to give virtual presentations at the following meetings: “Pharmacists Improving Hoosier Health: Indiana Landscape of Medication Management Services” at the Employers’ Forum of Indiana All-Stakeholder Meeting; 2021 MPJE Federal and Indiana Pharmacy Law Review Webinar, Indiana Pharmacists Association; Professional Organization Panel, Indiana Pharmacists Association Young Pharmacists Conference; and Pharmacy Advocacy and Changing Workforce Trends, Indiana Pharmacists Association Young Pharmacists Conference.

  • PGx master’s student publishes research

Turner, has co-published research on “Identification of CYP2D6 Haplotypes that Interfere with Commonly Used Assays for Copy Number Variation Characterization” in the May 2021 edition of The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics.

  • Singh publishes research in Clinical Biomechanics

  • Reed’s composition accepted for NYC music festival

    Posted May 3 - A composition by Tim Reed, associate professor of music, will be presented at the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. “Rafah Crossing” is a composition for cello and electroacoustic fixed media. The conference will be virtual because of COVID-19.

In its 16th year, YLNI’s Leadership Institute connects young professionals with their peers and their community as they advance in their career skills.

  • Seven pharmacy faculty accept Spring #RxWritingChallenge

    Posted April 16 - Seven Pharmacy Program faculty members accepted the 14-day Spring #RxWritingChallenge. Between March 22 and April 4, they collectively logged more than 40 hours of time writing on outlines, literature searches, IRB applications, grants, continuing education, manuscripts, reference lists, peer reviews, data analysis and other projects that moved their writing forward. Congratulations to Laura Bollinger, Diane Calinski, Jennifer Campbell, Teresa DeLellis, Kathryn Marwitz, Marwa Noureldin and Tom Smith.
