Posted April 26 - Four Manchester students have been chosen as MU’s first Shepherd summer interns through MU’s membership in the Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty. The students and their placements are: Daisy Byers, New American Pathways, Atlanta, Ga.; Virginia Rendler, Career Collaborative, Boston, Mass.; MacKenzie Weadick, YWCA volunteer and training, Austin, Texas; and Caraline Feairheller, Ketuckians for the Commonwealth, Louisville, Ky.
The internships begin June 7 at Marymount University in Arlington, Va., where more than 150 Shepherd interns will meet for an opening conference. The eight-week placements will end Aug. 3 at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for a closing symposium.
