Posted Sept. 28 - “Human Rights Solidarity: Moral or Political?” an article by Seth Mayer, assistant professor of philosophy, has been published in the edited volume Moral and Political Conceptions of Human Rights: Implications for Theory and Practice from Cambridge University Press.  

Posted Sept. 28 - Sidhartha Ray, professor of pharmaceutical science, presented a seminar Sept. 28 at the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy. His presentation was titled, "Apoptosis, Necrosis, Apocrosis and Autophagy: A Birds Eye View under an Electron Microscope!"

Posted Sept. 25 - Elton Skendaj, Gladdys Muir associate professor of peace studies, is one of the editors of a new book, State Building in Post-Independence Kosovo: Policy Challenges and Societal Considerations. Because stable state institutions are important for sustainable peace, the book investigates the challenges that such institutions face in post-war Kosovo. Skendaj mentored three of the chapter authors that focused on democratic legitimacy, European Union response to protests, and electoral rules. The book has just been published by the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society and is available here.

Posted Sept. 13 - Sidhartha Ray, professor of pharmaceutical sciences, presented at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., on Sept. 8. Professor Ray spoke on “A closer look at drug-induced cell death: Apoptosis, Necrosis, Apocrosis and Autophagy.” 

Posted Sept. 1 - Teresa DeLellis, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, has been elected District 3 director of the Indiana Pharmacists Alliance. In addition, MU pharmacy students Brooke Vonada and JT Palaika will serve on the IPA Student Executive Committee for 2017-18. 

Posted Aug. 31 - The team of pharmacy students Alison Koelling, Micah Spurgeon and Brooke Vonada is one of only 32 teams from around the country to advance to Round 3 of the ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Challenge. Round 3 of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy competition is Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Posted Aug. 28 - Ahmed Abdelmageed, assistant dean of experiential education and community engagement, has been awarded the Bowl of Hygeia Award by the Indiana Pharmacist Alliance (IPA) Board of Directors for outstanding community service. Ahmed will receive his award at the IPA Annual Meeting on Friday, Sept. 29 in Indianapolis. 

Posted Aug. 17 - Kathryn Davis, associate professor of chemistry, has co-authored a chapter which was accepted for publication in the upcoming American Chemical Society Symposium Series volume titled, “Liberal Arts Strategies for the Chemistry Classroom.” The chapter, “Incorporating Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Into the Chemistry Curriculum: Two Practitioners’ Experiences," which Davis co-authored with Christen Strollo (College of Saint Benedict-Saint John's University) should appear in print in late 2017.

Posted July 19 - Brian Skinner, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, has successfully passed the Pharmacotherapy Board Certification exam and Katee Kindler, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, has successfully passed her Ambulatory Care Board Certification.  

Posted Aug. 10 - Teresa DeLellis, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, has been chosen for this year’s Leadership Fort Wayne Program, sponsored by Greater Fort Wayne Inc. Leadership Fort Wayne trains community leaders to embrace the community through civic engagement and servant leadership. DeLellis earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wayne State University and joined MU’s Pharmacy Program in 2015. Read more.
