Posted April 6 - Andy Rich, MU’s Isaac and Etta H. Oppenheim Professor of Mathematical Sciences, has been elected chair of the Indiana Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA).  He served this year as vice chair and, before that, five years as secretary.  Rich has been active in the Indiana MAA throughout his 25 years at Manchester.  He regularly takes students to the spring meeting to compete in the Indiana College Mathematics Contest.  MU will host the Indiana MAA’s 2017 fall meeting.
