Commencement is coming!


It’s the most special of weekends at Manchester University, a time when students and their families come together to celebrate the culmination of years of sacrifice and hard work. Commencement weekend at MU kicks off on Friday, May 18, with Baccalaureate and a reception for all graduates and guests in Haist Commons. Graduate and professional and undergraduate commencement exercises follow on Saturday, May 19. Learn more here.

Pharmacy Program scores another first


Manchester University’s Pharmacy Program, a national leader in innovation and visionary initiatives, has breached another frontier. Having already developed the nation’s first dedicated Master of Science in Pharmacogenomics (PGx), MU this summer will be offer the nation’s first dual degree in Pharmacy and Pharmacogenomics, in which students can earn both a Pharm.D. and a master’s in PGx in four years. Here we grow again

With construction of the new Jean Childs Young Intercultural Center and Toyota Round already underway, Manchester is moving forward on another capital project dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of MU students. Groundbreaking for the Lockie and Augustus Chinworth Center, which will house the Arthur L. Gilbert College of Business plus a one-stop shop for registrar and student financial services, social gathering areas and offices for other student-focused programs, is scheduled for May 11. Oak Leaves staff honored

At Manchester University, students are given every opportunity to excel, and do. Seven MU students working for Oak Leaves, the Manchester student paper, were recently recognized for doing just that at the annual Indiana Collegiate Press Association Conference in Indianapolis. Read more.

Manchester grad lands prestigious award

Manchester graduates continue to make an impact upon the wider world, and be recognized for it. One of the latest is Martin Garcia Chavez, a 2016 graduate who’s been selected for the prestigious National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program. Only 2,000 honorees are chosen from more than 12,000 applicants nationwide. Read more.
