Our Mission

The Office of Church Relations works to maintain strong relationships between the University and its church constituencies. As a university of the Church of the Brethren, Manchester strives to connect to the six Midwestern districts of the Church of the Brethren as well as to the larger church. It also participates in the Church of the Brethren Annual Conference and other major denominational events.

Connection points include the Simply Brethren student group on campus, special scholarships for Brethren students, the annual Powerhouse regional youth conference, the ROBOT (Radically Obedient Brethren Outreach Team) worship deputation team, Camp Mack Day, conversations with district executives, speaking at church events, regular news updates, and other opportunities. A Church Relations Advisory Council (composed of trustees, a district executive, University staff, and students) meets before each Board of Trustees meeting.
