Alumna Erin Hickle Hired as New Sports Information Director

Erin Hickle is Manchester’s new sports information director. She was hired this fall to recap games, do stats for home events, as well as manage the athletics department’s social media for the university’s athletics.
Hickle is a graduate of Manchester University herself, having graduated magna cum laude in May last year with a Bachelor of Arts in digital media and minors in public relations and journalism. She has three years previous experience here as a student assistant at the Sports Information Office as well as being a member of the honors program at Manchester University for all four years. She also wrote for the Oak Leaves.
Hickle is glad to Manchester. “I was excited to work alongside great groups of people that helped me during my time as a student,” she said. “I am excited to enter this new role and to be back in Manchester. Starting a new job is always a little nerve racking, but I hope to be successful and continue to grow here at MU. I am enjoying this new opportunity that’s allowing me to learn and gain new skills.”
Hickle encourages current students to come help with game day operations with many different opportunities available such as photography, stat recording, and operating the video camera on game days.
