Eva Hardman Collection:  Manchester College alumna, Eva Hardman, was a student in the Bible School when E. S. Young was President and S. S. Young was Secretary.  The collection dates from 1896 and 1897.  Most of these documents were reproduced in the book "A Century of Faith Learning and Service, Manchester College, 1889 - 1989.  See E. Orpurt presents the history of the Biology department at Manchester College (1894 - 2005).  His notebook includes humorous stories about Emerson Niswander, provides photographs of instructors, preserves memorabilia, and documents the construction of the new Science Center in 2005. 
Plant Analysis Notebook: Goshorn, Mt. Morris College, 1889MC2011/125 

About 61 plants are recorded in this personal notebook kept by Ezra N. Goshorn, thought to be a student at Mt. Morris College, Illinois.  The book spans 17 April 1889 through 29 July 1897.  The preprinted formatted notebook is entitled, “APGAR’S PLANT ANALYSIS: Adapted to Gray’s Botanies," by E. A. and A. C. Apgar.

Roanoke Classical SeminaryMC2004/693-2 

Roanoke Classical Seminary in Roanoke, Indiana was founded by Professor F. S. Reefy in 1860.  Many of its students later became prominent individuals.  Roanoke was described as the "Athens of Northern Indiana. The school was moved in 1889 and became known as Manchester College.
