Program Highlights
- Manchester’s campus abounds with gallery and display spaces, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to show your work.
- If your future is teaching art, you’ll major in all-grade education with a concentration in the visual arts, which includes a combined curriculum of education and art classes and classroom teaching experiences each semester. Graduates successfully complete licensure programs to work with students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
- You’ll have opportunities for internships, both local and abroad, and you’ll also learn by talking with visiting artists and other art professionals to better understand art careers and how your art fits into the world.
- The Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture gives Manchester students experience in an urban setting, working and learning in Chicago for a semester. Open to students in all majors, the opportunity is well-utilized by art students.
