Admission
Application The Pharmacy Program will accept completed applications between July and March of each year. A complete application consists of an application through the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS) and a Manchester University Pharmacy Program supplemental application. Admissions Process
Admission to the Manchester University Pharmacy Program is limited and competitive. Approximately 73 new students are admitted each year. For this reason, achieving the minimum prerequisite subject and grade criteria does not guarantee admission. Students should begin the application process one year before their anticipated enrollment in the Manchester University Pharmacy Program.
The Pharmacy Program annual admission cycle is as follows:
- July – PharmCAS opens and interested candidates may access the online application; Manchester online supplemental application is available to applicants
- October to March – Interview days held
- March – Pharmacy Program application (PharmCAS + Supplemental) deadline
- May – Final Admissions decisions made, waitlist established
- August – Orientation and Pharmacy Program classes begin
The Pharmacy Program uses a rolling admissions process. Application evaluations begin after both the PharmCAS and Manchester Supplemental applications are submitted. Completed admission files are forwarded to the Admissions committee and faculty for review. Qualified candidates are invited for an on-campus interview. Interview days will be held to continue the evaluation of candidates. Within two weeks of the completed interview, each candidate receives an admission status (accept, committee hold, or denial).
Manchester University Students and the Pharmacy Program Admission Process
Students who complete the pre-pharmacy program at Manchester University with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 will be guaranteed an interview for the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Students with strong records who meet the minimum cumulative and prerequisite GPA requirements of 2.5 will still be considered for admission; however, these students are not guaranteed an interview.

Non-Discrimination in the Pharmacy Program Admission Process
The Manchester University Pharmacy Program is committed to non-discrimination in the admissions process. The University does not discriminate on the basis of national origin, ancestry, race, color, age, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, familial status, religion, disability, or veteran status in admissions including its admission decisions and scholarships or loan awards.
Early Decision
The program offers “Early Decision” (ED) status through PharmCAS. The Early Decision program is a binding option for applicants who have decided that a particular pharmacy degree program is their first choice and that they will enroll if accepted. Early Decision applicants can apply to only one pharmacy degree program, and the application deadline is in early to mid-September. In addition to completing the PharmCAS application, applicants must complete the supplemental application by the Early Decision deadline to be considered. If offered admission as an Early Decision applicant, an applicant is obligated to accept the offer and will not be permitted to apply to other PharmCAS degree programs. If, however, an applicant is denied admission as an Early Decision applicant, he or she may apply to other PharmCAS degree programs for an additional fee. PharmCAS degree programs will make admission decisions on early decision applicants by mid to late October each cycle.
