Preservation Concerns

A crucial part of the mission of the Archives and Brethren Historical Collection is to preserve materials for future generations. To this end, collections are stored in archival quality folders and boxes that are housed in temperature and humidity controlled rooms. Persons wishing to access the Archives are asked to observe certain guidelines.

If you are donating or transfering materials to the Archives, please keep the following in mind:

A picture of a water damaged box. Do not send materials in water damaged boxes.
Do not send wet materials. (These materials are drying.) A picture of drying books.
A picture of paper. Please remove old pieces of paper that should not be archived.
Please remove rubberbands. A picture of rubberbands.
A picture of a paperclip. Please remove paperclips.
Please make sure materials are pest free. A picture of a ladybug.
