Natural Sciences Division: Radio Station Collection from Barr, Francis H. | MC2004/538 | The first known radio communication from the Manchester College campus was through an unlicensed amateur [HAM]radio station privately operated by the Singer brothers in 1927. Their endeavor was entirely different from and unrelated to the first Manchester College radio station [WMIB] built by Dwight Farringer in 1945. Francis Barr provides objects from the Singer brothers' interest and gives physical information about the construction of WMIB. |

Relief and Rehabilitation: C.P.S. Unit 101, Registrar's Records | MC2004/9 | C.P.S. Unit 101 Registrar's Records along with a brief history and reference material describing the creation of CPS Camp 101 and its sub-camps, of which Manchester College was one. Manchester College's 10-week program was directed locally by Dr. Andrew W. Cordier. The sixty-seventy CPS'ers were chosen by Brethren Service Committee, and the plan was for them to leave the country and begin relief and rehabilitation work immediately after the program's completion. |
